Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic to perform in-field repairs on paving, milling/reclaimer, and related equipment.

You will diagnose issues, order parts, and document service activities for diverse brands. This role requires a high school diploma, fluent English, 2 years' equipment repair experience, ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematics, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read, write and speak English; 2 years’ field experience diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Must read hydraulic and electrical schematics; provide and maintain required specialty tools.
• Valid driver's license; CDL if required; DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile service vehicle to perform in-field repairs on paving, milling/reclaimer, and related equipment.
• Diagnose problems and execute repairs following established guidelines and flat rates.
• Order parts, write technical reports, and communicate with customers and supervisors.
• Maintain service truck, safety inspections, and complete paperwork promptly.
• Attend factory and company training as required; uphold professional customer relations.
• Ability to stay overnight near job sites and travel as needed.
