Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. seeks a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and service paving, milling/reclaimer, and material handling equipment at customer locations.

You will manage parts orders, document repairs, and maintain company assets while traveling frequently. The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years of field experience, plus ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematics and operate diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Two years of continuous experience diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Furnish and maintain a set of tools and any specialty tools required by the company.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile service vehicle and travel to customer sites for in-field repairs.
• Diagnose issues, order parts, write technical reports, and maintain company assets.
• Maintain service truck, perform safety inspections, and attend training as required.
