Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic to travel to customer locations and perform in-field repairs on paving and related equipment. You will diagnose issues, order parts, prepare reports, and maintain the service vehicle.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of equipment repair experience, can read hydraulic/electrical schematics, and possess a valid driver's license. We offer extensive training, health benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of continuous experience in diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Furnish and maintain a set of tools and any specialty tools required by the company.
• Ability to work overtime, stay overnight, and work on the weekend when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates a mobile service vehicle and travels to customer locations to perform in-field repairs on paving, milling/reclaimer, and related equipment.
• Diagnoses problems, orders parts, and writes technical reports.
• Maintains service truck and completes safety/vehicle inspections.
• Attends factory and other training as specified by supervisor.
• Ensures safe work practices and professional customer relations.
