Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. in Odessa, TX seeks a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic to perform in-field repairs on paving, milling/reclaimer, and related equipment.

You will diagnose issues, order parts, document service reports, and maintain company assets while traveling to customer sites. Requires 2 years of field repair experience, ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematics, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent requirement.
• Two years of continuous experience diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL if required.
• DOT medical card required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile service vehicle and travel to customer locations to perform in-field repairs on paving, milling/reclaimer, aggregate handling and compaction equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment following established guidelines and flat rates.
• Plan methods and sequence of repairs; maintain company assets and communicate with others.
• Complete required paperwork efficiently and accurately; attend factory and other training as specified.
• Maintain service truck in good condition; perform safety inspections.
• Commit to on-site attendance and customer relations while performing other duties as assigned.
