Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to perform in-field repairs at customer locations across the region. You will diagnose issues, order parts, write reports, and ensure safe, efficient service with a focus on quality and profitability.

The role requires travelling to job sites, maintaining the service vehicle, and documenting work orders while upholding company safety standards. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Two years of continuous experience in diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Furnish and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the company.
• Ability to work overtime, stay overnight, and work on weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs field repairs and maintenance with little or no direct supervision.
• Diagnoses and evaluates problems with equipment and makes repairs using established guidelines.
• Plans methods and sequence of performing assigned repairs.
• Maintains the service truck in good working condition and cleanliness.
• Completes daily, monthly, and annual safety and vehicle inspections.
