Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites and perform in-field repairs on various brands.

You will diagnose issues, order parts, and document technical reports while maintaining company assets and delivering professional service. The role requires two years of diagnostic/repair experience, the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Two years of continuous experience in diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Furnish and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the company.
• Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license; CDL if required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and evaluates problems with equipment and performs repairs following established guidelines and flat rates.
• Plans methods and sequence of performing assigned repairs.
• Makes overnight stays on or near job sites when required.
• Maintains the service truck in good working condition and completes inspections.
• Communicates professionally with customers, managers, and colleagues.
