Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and related systems on customer equipment in the field.

You will use your own tools, operate heavy equipment safely, complete all work orders and DOT-required records, and maintain strong customer communications. A high school diploma and 4+ years in the industry are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems; welding and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment diesel engines and components.
• Determine extent of repairs and prepare orders for services.
• Use diagnostic equipment and perform welding and repairs as needed.
• Complete all work orders and time sheets accurately and timely.
• Maintain safety procedures and DOT records.
• Communicate with customers and keep them updated on progress.
