Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Georgia is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics on customer equipment in the field.

You will troubleshoot, source parts, perform welding, complete service orders, and maintain safety/DOT records while working with minimal supervision and maintaining a professional image.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment diesel engines and components.
• Determine extent of repairs and prepare service orders; source/-order parts as needed.
• Proper use of diagnostic equipment and perform welding/brazing as required.
• Repair components of diesel engines, hydraulics, A/C, suspension, drive trains, and electrical systems.
• Complete work orders, time sheets, and DOT logs accurately.
• Operate equipment with required licenses and uphold safety standards.
• Maintain clean, professional appearance of vehicles and equipment.
• Photograph equipment when necessary and communicate with customers clearly.
