Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Technician Leader to join the Management Team in Houston to drive growth, operations, and safety across a growing mobile fleet service. You will lead a team of technicians, mentor staff, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver top-tier service.

The role emphasizes coaching, performance management, and expanding client relationships while ensuring compliance with DOT and safety standards. Travel within the market is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience; or a master’s/PhD combo with different years of experience.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a people leadership role, with a strong track record of developing teams and driving performance.
• Valid driver’s license with a 3-year MVR review; must be 21+ years old and able to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide direction to a team of mobile fleet technicians, providing leadership to drive performance and development.
• Establish a high-performance team culture through coaching and career development conversations.
• Own market-level performance including productivity, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth; identify new service opportunities.
• Monitor metrics, reports, and safety records to drive continuous improvement and scalable operations.
• Lead onboarding and ramp-up of new technicians to support market expansion and capacity growth.
• Partner with leadership to define market growth strategies and collaborate with sales to maximize revenue opportunities.
