Job summary

Southern States Material Handling in Florida is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to travel your territory for servicing Toyota and Raymond forklifts and related equipment. You’ll be trained, receive a company van and a complete set of tools, and grow your skills on diverse tasks. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7am–4:30pm) with competitive pay and opportunities for advancement as you earn new certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year mechanical experience preferred.
• Experience with farm, construction, material handling, diesel equipment, or lift trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults; operate test equipment.
• Operate forklifts for troubleshooting and QA checks.
• Dismantle, assemble, or reassemble engines, transmissions, and hydraulic components.
• Service forklifts with fluids and lubricants; apply solvents.
• Quote customers for services or parts.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and dispatch communications.
