Job summary

Southern States Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Mechanic/Technician to troubleshoot and repair propane, diesel and electric powered forklifts and related equipment across Florida customer sites.

You’ll receive training, a company van and tools, and will work Monday through Friday, 7am–4:30pm, with pay ranging from $20 to $35 per hour depending on certification and experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical school coursework in electrical/mechanical/automotive field is a plus.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues; operate test equipment.
• Operate forklifts for troubleshooting and QA checks after repairs.
• Dismantle/assemble engines, transmissions, and hydraulic/electrical components.
• Service forklifts with fluids and lubricants; use cleaning solvents as needed.
• Quote customers for services or parts and document work.
