Job summary

Southern States Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Mechanic/Technician to travel within the territory, diagnose and repair propane, diesel, and electric forklifts and related equipment. You will receive a van, tools, and paid training to work on Toyota and Raymond equipment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge; 1 year preferred.
• Strong customer relationship skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and locate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults; may operate test equipment.
• Operate forklifts for troubleshooting and QA checks after repairs.
• Dismantle/assemble engines, transmissions, or differentials and fuel systems.
• Service forklifts with water, fuel, oils, or lubricants and use cleaners when needed.
• Align/repair/replace worn or broken mechanical components or parts.
• Use hand or power tools and precision measuring tools as required.
• Ensure completion of work and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in TMHU training online and stay updated.
• Manage multiple customer work orders to finish within two weeks.
• Ensure paperwork is complete and signed by customers.
