Job summary

Southern States Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Mechanic/Technician to service Toyota and Raymond equipment in the Central Georgia and Florida area. You will travel to customer sites, diagnose and repair propane, diesel and electric forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material-handling gear, using your own van and tools.

The ideal candidate has mechanical knowledge, good communication skills, and a customerfocused approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Technical school coursework in electrical, mechanical, or automotive field a plus.
• Automotive Service Excellence certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions.
• Operate forklifts for troubleshooting and QA checks after repairs.
• Dismantle, assemble, or replace engines, transmissions, or hydraulics.
• Service forklifts with water, fuel, oils, or lubricants and apply cleaning solvents when needed.
• Align, adjust, repair, or replace worn or broken mechanical components or parts.
• Use hand or power tools and precision measuring tools where needed.
