Job summary

Southern States Material Handling is seeking Field Service Mechanics/Technicians to service propane, diesel, and electric forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and more across Florida. You’ll be provided a company van and a full set of tools, with paid training to certify you to work on our equipment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year preferred.
• Experience with farm, construction, material handling, diesel equipment, or lift trucks preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues; operate test equipment.
• Operate forklifts for troubleshooting and QA checks after repairs.
• Dismantle/assemble engines, transmissions, and hydraulic/electrical components.
• Service forklifts with fluids and lubricants; use cleaning solvents when needed.
• Quote customers for services or parts; maintain safety procedures.
