Job summary

CBRE's Global Workplace Solutions Local unit is seeking a Mobile Engineer to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems, vehicles, and grounds in the Uniondale, NY area. You will review work orders, manage inventory, and adhere to safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, Universal CFC certification, a valid driver’s license, and 4–5 years of related experience. Supervisory experience and Microsoft Office proficiency are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4–5 years related experience preferred.
• Universal CFC certification and valid driver’s license required.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good organizational skills and ability to analyze information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and oversee emergency repairs.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure operation aligns with design specs and client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and safety standards; operate company vehicles as needed.
