Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Mobile Engineer to support maintenance for retail sites within the region, performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.

The role includes driving a company vehicle and coordinating with outside contractors to ensure safety and code compliance. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a full-size van/truck.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to operate a full-size van/truck.
• EPA/CFC certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Uses computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, and training.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repairs, records as required.
• Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks. Uses CMMS to manage work orders and track completion.
• Leads troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: HVAC, plumbing systems, roofs, drains.
• Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety laws.
• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
• Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.
• Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
• Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Report and communicate daily all work activity via PDA device
