Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to support 5-6 retail stores in a defined geographic area. The role covers troubleshooting, repairing and preventive maintenance on commercial RTUs and split systems, plus general upkeep across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, roofing, and more.

A company vehicle and tools are provided. Responsibilities include handling work orders, material estimates, CMMS updates, and coordinating with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years related experience and/or trade school training.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• EPA/CFC certification preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer/PDA for work orders, email, and training.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Document activities as required.
• Review work orders; estimate time/materials; order supplies; use CMMS to track tasks.
• Lead troubleshooting/repairs of buildings and installed systems (HVAC, plumbing, roofs).
• Inspect installations for codes/safety compliance.
• Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC/R, plumbing) to ensure operation per design.
• Oversee work by outside contractors.
• Maintain lighting system (lamp/ballast repairs).
• Perform furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Respond to emergencies; coordinate additional help as needed.
• Report daily activity via PDA.
