Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Mobile Service Technician in Mission Viejo, CA to diagnose, maintain, and repair Lucid vehicles in the field. You will travel to client locations with a service van/truck and tools provided, working independently or with the local service team. ASE/EV knowledge and HV/LV experience are valued, with CPR training post‑hire and a valid license.

Base pay ranges from $34 to $47 per hour. Training starts at the Costa Mesa service center until the Mission Viejo site opens.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technician.
• Self-sufficient, highly organized and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Low Voltage systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrain.
• Customer facing experience exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS software.
• EPA 609 Certification.
• Willingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post‑hire.
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire

Responsibilities

• Function as a Service Advisor and perform parts department duties including ordering, returns, and inventory management
• Work directly with clients to provide a high level of customer experience
• Effectively work with the appropriate software suite to properly and completely document all customer vehicle interactions
• Maintain a high knowledge level of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general Electric Vehicle (EV) systems
• Properly perform the walk-around and write-up processes, accurately ascertaining primary concern through verbal interview and visual assessment to assess client needs accurately
• Accurately document client concerns for diagnosis and repair
• Follow correct repair order documentation procedures, i.e. The Three C’s
• Invoice and collect payment
• Perform customer service duties such as answer phones, scheduling appointments (where needed), and calling customers to update them on repair status, or to follow up after repairs are completed
• Review appointment schedule to plan travel time and visit duration for mobile services
• Provide support at Service Center based on demand
• Ability to travel in assigned territory and other service locations
• Other duties as assigned
