Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support Rivian vehicle repairs and provide on-site service at customers' homes, businesses, or service centers. The role requires collaboration, adaptability, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, with travel to various locations including the production plant as needed.

You will diagnose, repair, install, and test Rivian vehicles, document work thoroughly, and maintain tools and parts inventories while upholding safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for 3–5 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer is preferred.
• Proficient use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or in the field.
• Identify Rivian product line and EV framework, tools, and accessories.
• Follow repair procedures using available technical resources; prioritize safety and quality.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
• Provide feedback on process improvements to senior technicians or leadership.
• Support service campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Document all work and technical notes clearly for internal and external use.
• Collaborate with team and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Communicate professionally in customer-facing situations.
• Stay current with technical skills and required training.
