Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs, including diagnostics and in-field service, at times traveling to customer locations or the production plant. The role spans various seniorities and emphasizes teamwork, safety, and high-quality workmanship.

The position requires readiness for a dynamic environment, strong tool handling, and excellent communication with customers, with opportunities for training and advancement within Rivian’s EV ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in an automotive shop is preferred but entry-level candidates are welcome.
• EV or hybrid repair background is a plus.
• Experience with parts departments, billing and work order systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install and inspect vehicles at service centers or on-site with customers.
• Identify Rivian product lines, EV framework, tools and accessories.
• Follow repair procedures using available technical resources to maintain quality and safety.
• Perform road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts operations including ordering, receiving and inventory.
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement to senior technicians or leadership.
• Support service campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Document all work and technical notes accurately for internal/external use.
• Work collaboratively with a team and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Communicate professionally with customers in person or remotely.
• Stay current with required training and update technical skills.
