Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs across service centers, customer homes, and on-site locations. The role is field-oriented with travel to production plants as needed, and spans multiple seniority levels based on business demand.

The position requires teamwork, strong communication, and ongoing training to stay current with Rivian’s EV platforms and repair procedures. Expect a collaborative, fast-paced environment with diverse regional assignments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in automotive shop preferred; open to entry-level to career technicians.
• EV/hybrid repair experience a plus.
• Experience with parts departments and work orders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install and inspect vehicles at service centers or in the field.
• Identify Rivian products, EV framework, tools and accessories.
• Follow repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Perform road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory.
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Support service campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Document all work and notes clearly.
