MiniMed is seeking a Software Engineering Manager (Mobile) to lead the development of mobile apps and ensure robust architecture across iOS/Android platforms. The role requires strong leadership, critical thinking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact medical technology solutions.

The position is hybrid, 3 days onsite in Northridge or San Diego, CA, with a focus on guiding a mobile engineering team and delivering high-quality patient-centered software.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.
• Leads and guides a mobile app development team with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in Flutter/iOS or Android platforms and modern mobile architectures.

Responsabilités

• Experience in managing and developing complex mobile applications in Flutter (iOS or Android).
• Lead and manage a team of employees well versed in mobile app development using Kotlin, Swift, Objective C and Flutter.
• Builds trust with leadership through consistent delivery and transparency, acting as a reliable resource for information and support.
• Self-motivated with great written and oral communication skills.
• Collaborate with System and software architects to translate product needs into implementation.
• Coach developers and provide constructive feedback to improve design and implementation.
• Identify root causes and propose robust solutions for complex problems.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams such as Systems Engineering, Human factors, Clinical, and verification teams to drive quality products.
• Work in an agile/scrum environment and enforce design reviews.
