Job summary

Ventura Solutions LLC (WonderSee Labs) is seeking a versatile Software Engineer to lead mobile app development for a medical device startup. The role combines software, hardware, and firmware awareness, with a focus on BLE data flow, on‑device analytics, and cross‑platform release readiness.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years shipping mobile apps for iOS and Android, strong Swift/Kotlin skills, and experience with HIPAA considerations. Remote US or on‑site in the SF Bay Area options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience building and shipping mobile apps end-to-end, including at least one medical product.
• Strong fundamentals in Swift and/or Kotlin; experience with cross‑platform frameworks is a plus.
• Hands‑on BLE integration experience: GATT pairing, connection handling, and data sync.
• Experience taking an app through full app-store release (testing, review, rollout).
• Familiarity with medical device standards (IEC 62304) and HIPAA considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the iOS and/or Android parent/caregiver app that pairs with BLE hardware.
• Handle BLE data reading, GATT pairing, and connection/reconnection logic.
• Implement on‑device timers, statistics, and simple data visualizations.
• Coordinate with design to translate Figma specs into UI components.
• Create data export workflow (CSV) via native sharing tools.
• Maintain clean separation between UI and BLE layers for evolving hardware.
• Collaborate with contract firmware team and assess in‑house feasibility.
• Navigate App Store/Google Play release processes and document work for DDF.
• Work independently in a startup setting with emphasis on testing and prototyping.
