Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel and Trailer Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months. This role requires strong problem solving and customer communication skills, with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications or trades training a plus.
• ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months is preferred.
• Experience with DOT inspections, PMs, and diagnostic work in mobile/field settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light–heavy duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Document work on RO using company tools and upload photos.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA policies.
• Manage parts and schedule and communicate with customers as needed.
