Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. The role involves diagnostics, testing, and paperwork using the TRAIT app to document parts used and findings.

The candidate should have HS diploma or GED and ASE T8 PMI within 18 months, plus clean driving record and 21+ years old, with strong safety and communication skills for effective client interaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or related experience; or 5 years in related field.
• Must own a set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical requirement before employment.
• Valid driver’s license; 21+ years old; able to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light/diagnostic repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Inspect and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation after service.
• Document work using RO system and upload photos via company app.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and RO notes.
