Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs for a mobile fleet. The role requires 100% travel, with standard daytime hours and weekends on request, and allows remote work while residing in the designated region.

New hire bonus of $5,000 is offered, paid in two installments, and the company notes potential for additional compensation and incentives within a nationwide service network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years related experience or alternative combinations.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA regulations awareness.
• Must be able to pass DOT background screening and DOT physical.
• Must have valid US driver’s license and be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to lift and perform physically demanding tasks is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy vehicles in field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles and document RO findings in TRAIT app with photos.
• Maintain service truck, manage parts inventory, and coordinate with clients.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety standards.
