Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician for remote-friendly role based in the United States. You will perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on heavy-, medium-, and light-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.

Work is Sunday through Wednesday, 1pm–11:30pm, with requirements including ASE certifications and DOT compliance. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, 401(k) matching, PTO, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required with 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years in a related field.
Ability to perform DOT inspections and PMs on mobile/field equipment.
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
Maintain and document work performed using company tools and TRAIT app.
Communicate with customers to assess needs and obtain approvals for repairs.
