Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Tech II for DOT inspections and on-site/off-site mobile maintenance across fleets. You will perform PMs, diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and diesel systems, and document findings via TRAIT app.

The role emphasizes independent, efficient scheduling, DOT compliance, and safety, with 50/50 30/60 day milestone bonuses and a Monday–Friday day shift. Remote work allowed within the specified city/region hints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related experience.
• Own set of hand tools required.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance and DOT physical requirements.
• 21+ years old with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Test equipment and road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and document work via RO in TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and maintain safety compliance.
