Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain client fleets and handle on-site service calls, including cleaning, maintenance, inspections, and parts work with proper manuals.

You will diagnose, disassemble/assemble, and document work using our mobile service program. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician, a current CDL with Medical card, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 9 years' experience as Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment per company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling and inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep the vehicle stocked.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive customer relations.
• Provide after-hours service and be available for an open work schedule.
