Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in the United States is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support our commercial fleet clients. You will service trucks at customer sites, perform diagnostics, and conduct preventive maintenance to keep vehicles running reliably.

The role requires five years of Class 7/8 technician experience, on-site service readiness, proper safety practices, and certifications such as ASE or OEM programs are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current CDL is preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Certifications (Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, ASE) preferred and rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and inspections and document results.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Respond to service calls and be available for after-hours work.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and select proper repair procedures.
• Diagnose and replace components (injectors, pistons, bearings, clutches, brakes, transmissions, etc.).
• Document work in the company computer system and ensure safe operation.
