Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level 1 or 2 to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to advanced repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, lead on jobsites, and document findings with our TRAIT app.

The role requires adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations, a valid driver's license, and substantial tool-set readiness. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related field experience, or 5 years' related experience.
• At least 3 years' experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA certification/brand training preferred.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical required.
• Valid state driver's license and eligibility for DQT file.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and related truck systems.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose faulty equipment using instruments and handheld devices.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and document work on Repair Orders using mobile device.
