Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support clients by maintaining fleets and handling on-site service calls at customer locations.

You will diagnose, repair, and service trucks using diagnostic equipment and document work in the system. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, managing tool inventories, and communicating with customers and service writers about needed repairs within the next 3 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years' experience as Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• CDL is preferred but not required.
• A medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are required.
• Certifications: Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, ASE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and document inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep the vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible to schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel engine trucks and related equipment.
• Read job orders and assess vehicle diagnostics to plan work.
