Job summary

Rush Truck Centers, a Rush Enterprises, Inc. company, seeks experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to service fleets at client locations. Join a large nationwide network and provide on-site expertise for trucks and equipment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, part replacements, and accurate documentation. Candidates should have 5 years of Class 7/8 experience, high school diploma, and CDL preferred. Health benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CDL is preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory on service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform assigned duties daily.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible work schedule.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical information to determine repair procedures.
• Diagnose and replace components such as injectors, pistons, bearings, and transmissions.
• Document work performed in the company computer system.
• Communicate with customers regarding repairs and future services.
• Participate in training to apply new skills on the job.
