Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to service client fleets at their locations. The role involves on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repair execution to keep trucks and equipment operational.

The candidate should have 5 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience, a high school diploma or GED, and CDL is preferred but not required. ASE certifications are valued and professional growth is supported.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment per company standards.
• Basic truck maintenance including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory on service truck and stocked parts.
• Read job orders, diagnose vehicle, plan work procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and perform correct repairs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive relations.
• Advise on repairs to be performed within 3 months.
• Participate in training and apply learned skills.
