Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support our fleet customers at client locations. You will perform on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance and uptime.

The role requires 5 years of Class 7/8 experience, GD/HS diploma, and ASE or OEM certifications are preferred. CDL is a plus. Join a leader in the commercial truck industry and advance with ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment per company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and inspections on trucks at client locations.
• Manage service truck inventory and ensure proper stocking.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to determine repair procedures.
• Document all work in the company system.
• Ensure safety devices and guards are in good condition.
