Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level I to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will work under supervision to develop diagnostic skills and ensure safety standards.

This role is remote-friendly within the U.S., with travel as needed and a base hourly rate of $20.10–$30.10 per hour. ASE certifications and a DOT card are preferred, and weekly pay plus equipment reimbursements

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• ASE T6 and T8 certifications are preferred with ability to obtain within 18 months.
• DOT medical card with remaining validity is required or able to obtain.
• Ability to perform inspections and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Execute minor and some major repairs using electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Maintain and inventory parts on the service truck and document RO details.
• Communicate findings and obtain approvals with management and customers.
