Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting.

You will assist higher-level technicians, manage parts on a company truck, document findings using an iOS device, and follow safety and DOT requirements. A valid driver's license and basic tools are required for the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years' experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and pre-employment DOT screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Independently manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company-issued service truck.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

ASE T8 (PMI) certification

ASE T4 (Brakes) certification
