Job summary

Cox Fleet in Memphis, TN is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for a 1pm–11pm shift, Wed–Sun. Responsibilities include DOT and PM inspections, light-to-heavy repairs, diagnostics, and documentation via TRAIT on an iOS device.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and valid DOT credentials. Heavy emphasis on safety, independent scheduling, and customer service in a mobile environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; related discipline degrees accepted
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months of hire
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and DOT pre-employment process required
• DOT physical and drug screen compliance and safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform PM inspections and DOT inspections on mobile fleet
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles
• Conduct road tests and verify vehicle functionality after repairs
• Manage parts on service truck and document work using TRAIT app
