Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to provide on-site service and maintenance for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field role. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring safety and reliability on the road.

You’ll work independently, manage parts on the service truck, and communicate with clients and support teams to approve repairs and estimates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3+ years in related field.
• ASE PMI/T8 certification within 18 months preferred.
• Valid DOT medical card and driver’s license required.
• Ability to manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems on various truck equipment.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Document work performed and parts used in TRAIT using iOS device.
