Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile field setting for a range of truck classes. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, road-test vehicles, and manage parts on a service truck using TRAIT app.

OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance is required. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination, and ASE certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with 3 years field experience, or a higher degree/certification in related discipline with equivalent experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months, or ability to obtain.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment checks and DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to confirm repairs and proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and document work on RO via TRAIT app.
