Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in the Fort Lauderdale area. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a field/mobile environment, with ongoing diagnostics and customer communication.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid driver’s license, and adherence to DOT safety regulations. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; relevant experience acceptable
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and background check required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in a mobile field role

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light/medium/heavy vehicles in a mobile environment
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems
• Inspect, test, and document findings; upload RO details via TRAIT on iOS device
• Maintain parts inventory and company service truck; ensure safety and pre/post-trip checks
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and updates
