Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role involves diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, maintaining service trucks, and recording findings with our TRAIT app.

Candidates must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements, hold a valid driver's license, and obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months.

Formación

• HS Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• 3 years related field experience (or 5 years)
• Must possess hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsabilidades

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical, braking, cooling, engine electronics, transmissions, clutches, etc.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment, and reconcile stock.
• Maintain service vehicle, conduct safety checks and pre/post trip inspections.
• Document RO findings with photos on iOS and TRAIT app; complete DOT forms promptly.
