Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, lead on-site troubleshooting, and ensure safety and compliance on every job.

The role requires 3+ years in a related field (or 5 years with different combos), a valid DOT card, and a toolset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years in a related field, or 5 years of related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and compliance required.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one within a reasonable period.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company service truck and tools safely.
• Document work performed and parts used in the TRAIT/RO system via iOS device.
