Job summary

Cox is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting. The role requires driving a company service truck, diagnosing systems, and maintaining tools and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least three (3) years of experience in a related field (alternative: a higher degree or five (5) years of experience is acceptable).
• At least three (3) years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Road‑test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
• Document work according to company standards and use the iOS TRAIT app for records.
