Job summary

Cox Automotive’s Cox Fleet division seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to keep fleets moving nationwide. You will perform PMs, inspections and repairs on light to heavy trucks in mobile and field settings, often at customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience or alternative combinations are acceptable.
• Own set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical are required; DOT medical card may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty trucks in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and engine components.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles; document findings on Repair Orders (RO) using company TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and company-provided service truck; coordinate with clients.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and maintain safety observance per regulations.
