Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on light, medium, and heavy trucks in a field/mobile setting from Wheeling, IL.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems; noting findings on Repair Orders via the TRAIT iOS app; maintaining a service truck and coordinating parts; and upholding safety and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; 3 years in a related field preferred.
• DOT pre-employment screens and physicals required; DOT medical card beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on mobile/field vehicles in a nationwide customer base.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and document findings; use TRAIT app to upload RO photos and notes.
• Maintain service truck and coordinate parts; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
