Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, document findings with photos via TRAIT app, and manage parts while maintaining the service truck and adhering to DOT regulations. A strong safety mindset and valid CDL/DOT eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience.
• Ase certification T8 within 18 months.
• Able to pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• Valid state driver's license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Document work orders with photos via iOS and TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts/inventory.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals on estimates.
