Job summary

Cox Automotive’s Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of trucks and trailers. You will work independently in the field, managing parts, documenting work, and ensuring safety standards.

Compensation includes a strong hourly wage, benefits starting day one, and a $3,000 new hire bonus with staged payouts.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3 years in related field OR 5 years in related field.
• Must supply set of hand tools to perform duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months of hire.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screen and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card accepted if valid; else DOT physical required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-, medium-, and light-duty vehicles.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company service vehicle with pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Document work with RO in TRAIT app and upload photos.
• Communicate with management for approvals on repair estimates and PO numbers.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and DOT regulations.
