Job summary

CoxFleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You’ll work Tuesday–Saturday, 8am–4pm, with tools provided and a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. Weekly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools for the job.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, transmissions, and related systems.
• Document work performed and parts used in Repair Orders using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain service vehicle and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with customers to assess needs and provide information or assistance.
