Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive service provider, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer-facing communication.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED with relevant experience, own their own tools, and complete ASE T8 certification within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years of related field experience, or 5 years of related experience.
• Must possess a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Maintain and document work using company iOS device and TRAIT app; complete DOT forms promptly.
